Street Fighter V is Exclusive to the PS4

(And PC..)

After Street Fighter V leaked last week, Sony confirmed at the ‘Playstation Experience’ held in Vegas that the legendary brawler will be a console exclusive for the PS4. It has also since been announced that the PS4 and PC versions will work in tandem to allow players to go up against each other across both platforms.

What does this mean for Sony?
Well, this means that at any-and-all Street Fighter tournaments that take place in the future that include Street Fighter V will have to be hosted on PS4s, rather than the usual favourite, the Xbox 360. This could also potentially–although I would not hold my breath–lead to fight-sticks being manufactured for the PS4.
These factors combined may cement Sony’s exclusivity for the foreseeable future; until, at least, Microsoft pull something big out of the bag.

Five days with The Elder Scrolls Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online has met a lot of controversy since it’s initial announcement; the £40/$60 price tag paired with the £8.99/$14.99 monthly subscription fee in particular rubbed long time Elder Scrolls fans the wrong way, and even though Bethesda have been aiming for a genuine Elder Scrolls experience, long time fans of the series have worried about the final quality of the game, and whether longevity is viable in an Elder Scrolls MMO.

Hands on with the PS4 // ACIV: BF.

So I went to MCM Expo in London this weekend!

It was a lot of fun. The cosplay this year was sort of incredible. Obviously there were the odd terrible set-ups but, generally, it was a whole lot better than last year, I think.

Anyway at MCM I got the chance to get my hands on a DualShock4 and play Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag for about 10-15 minutes. There was no PS4 box, however. So I probably played on a very bare-bones PC build of the PS4, with the DS4 coming out of the podium.

Sombre Autumn.

We often attempt to find new sources of solace whilst lost in life. Whether they take a more physical approach, as a quiet room or personal fort; or if it occupies your mind through listening to that one album on repeat, or watching that movie for the fifth time this week; I think we go through periods of our life where we need our minds occupied, to get things together–to put everything into perspective–ultimately to sort our shit out.

Pointless Paragraphs.

I really cannot be bothered to write anything. However I am forcing myself because “writing once a day is a good thing”, apparently. Lots of things are happening, all of which are extremely exciting and get me immensely hyped for the future; but I cannot let myself get swept up in the prospects of my life, lest I lose sight and fail miserably.

Brain: sort yourself out. Get writing. Do something productive; or, at least, something fucking entertaining.

A Friend in Need: Depression. The Daily Prompt. July 25th.

Friends that stick with you throughout your life, through thick and thin, are unique and special. My two best friends have been putting up with me for almost fifteen years. God.. That is a long time.

We have watched each other grow up and have sculpted each other’s personalities. I would not be one iota of the person that I am today if it wasn’t for the good hearts and ingenuity of these individuals.
Unfortunately life has its fantastic ways of making things complicated and scary.

My friend started suffering with Depression sometime in 2010.

At first I didn’t notice. Sure, we started talking less, but I had just moved to another college; so we were both trying to fit into new crowds, on top of the new level of education we had to dive into.
All of a sudden I started hearing whispers that he had dropped out of school.

The most strong willed person I know, the man whom had dreams larger than life, quit school?

I went to visit him the first chance that I had. It was then that he told me he was suffering from Depression; and had been for a few months now. Obviously I felt fucking horrible that I hadn’t noticed, but people with mental illness look exactly the same as you or I. There are no tell-tale signs. And being the strong person that he is: he didn’t want to ‘bother’ me with it.

My friend had a rough time while he was depressed. It was extremely hard on us all, and he will never truly be over it. However I can happily confirm that today he is a lot better, and his life is going in the direction that he wants it to.

Anyone can suffer from Depression. Your closest ally might not want to approach you, so be a good friend and sit down with them. Ask them how their day was. Ask how they are doing with everything right now.

It could save a life; Or even just make their day that bit easier.

Robocalypse: Pacific Rim.

When a friend first pitched Pacific Rim to me he described it as “Aliens have crawled out of the ocean, so America have built giant robots to punch them to death.” Obviously, I was excited; however there is a bit more than that to Pacific Rim.
